Spy/Master by Warner Bros. Discovery named the best TV drama series in 2023
Zagreb, December 14, 2023 – During the NEM Zagreb 2023 event, an award ceremony was held for the exceptional creativity of the TV industry in the CEE region – NEM Awards. One of the categories, The Best Drama TV Series in the CEE, is dedicated to outstanding content premiering from September 15, 2022, to October 15, 2023.
Ivan Ljubičić, Managing Director, NEM Dubrovnik, NEM Zagreb, Pickbox and Mediavision, is proud of as many as 29 applications from some of the leading production companies in the CEE region: “The concept was well received by the participants and the jury, so we really can’t wait for the next edition. All the best series from the CEE region look fantastic in one place.”
Marc B. Lorber, Executive Producer, The Art of Coproduction: “It’s wonderful to see how far the region has come in these last 14 years. It’s time for the region to have this award, not only to highlight creativity in CEE, but to further encourage it in the right direction – let’s encourage more original ideas like this, well-executed projects and co-production within this region.”
Nigel McCrery, screenwriter: “This was not work, but pleasure and joy. I learned so much. I loved the series and the excellent standard they hold. Even the comedies were funny! There were fresh ideas, fresh actors… it was new and different. All series are of very high quality, and I hope more people will see these TV dramas from CEE and appreciate them like I do. Well done everyone and thank you for choosing me as a judge!”
