Yako Molhov has over 20 years of experience in the media industry, currently serving as VP of Research of TVBIZZ Group, which operates CEETV (www.ceetv.net) – the leading industry media for the TV and streaming markets in Central and Eastern Europe and TVBIZZ (www.tvbizz.net/news), the international b2b digital media platform for the global TV industry. He co-founded the company in 2009 and is responsible for the daily news and reports published by the two services, preparing special analyses for the clients of the company, doing regular interviews with leading business executives, producers/directors and talent and is also the editor of TVBIZZ Magazine (www.tvbizzmagazine.com).
After graduating from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 2006 with a MA degree in “Electronic Media” (cum laude for his master’s thesis on the TV market in CEE and a recipient of the annual scholarship for the best student of the faculty, provided by BNT), Yako has worked as an editor, media analyst, program manager and content research manager at various production companies and broadcasters in Bulgaria, including Global Vision, SIA Advertising, Fox International Channels, TV2/Pro.BG (part of CME). Yako has also been part of the jury of The Golden Umbrella TV Festival and FebioFest and has been a speaker and moderator at leading market events, festivals and conferences.
