We are proud to announce that the first edition of NEM Zagreb is organizing a TV Writing Contest which aims to find aspiring screenwriters in two categories:
Whether you are an experienced writer looking to bring your script to life or a potential new star of screenwriting, this is a perfect opportunity for presenting your work. If your goal is to share your vision and storytelling and influence the current TV and VOD market, this is a chance for you to showcase your project. The goal of this contest is to connect creators of TV content with opportunities in the industry and provide them with the access to big TV industry names that are searching for fresh ideas.

1. What does the Creative Badge Zagreb include?
Creative Badge Zagreb entitles you to enter the TV Writing Contest and submit two (2) TV projects (1x scripted and/or 1x unscripted). Also, Creative Badge Zagreb entitles you to join all other activities at NEM Zagreb. Check all badges and packages on the link.
The Organizer doesn’t guarantee any business deals.
2. Which application documents am I submitting?
Logline (usually one-sentence), Plot Summary (1-2 pages) and Part of the Script (3-5 pages) are mandatory for the Scripted category.
Logline (usually one-sentence), Plot Summary (1-2 pages) and Part of the Show (2-4 pages) are mandatory for the Unscripted category.
All documents need to be uploaded in English. Only original scripts are eligible for the TV Writing Contest. Submissions for existing TV projects will not be accepted in the contest.
3. When is the deadline for submitting application documents?
The deadline for submissions is October 21st, 2019. Applications received after 11:59 p.m. on the day of the deadline will be disqualified. In the event that you do not submit your application on time, you will not have access to the conference unless you pay the full price for a Badge Zagreb (difference in price).
4. Are my application documents safe?
Yes, your documents and work are safe. You are signing Non-Disclosure Agreement while accepting Terms & Conditions. On the other hand, the preselection independent jury and TV Writing main sponsors jury will sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with the Organizer. Other participants don’t have access to your application documents.
5. Why is there a preselection independent jury and TV writing Contest main sponsors jury ?
Preselection ndependent jury will vote between all submitted projects. TV Writing main sponsors jury will vote between 30 best TV projects previously selected from the independent jury. Together, they will choose:
