Phil is a freelance screenwriter for radio, film and TV. Phil has also worked as a film and TV location manager and a film commissioner in the UK, assisting woth locations on a number of major feature films and drama series. Phil won a RTS screenwriting award for his first episode of the BAFTA award winning TV series ‘Shameless’ (C4) before joining the writing team of the Kay Mellor drama series ‘The Chase’ (BBC1). Phil then developed an original comedy series format, with co-writer Steve Chambers, for BBC Radio 4. The show ‘Highlites’ starring Rosie Cavaliero and Lorraine Ashbourne ran for 7 years and 6 series.
Phil was more recently a Screenwriting Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University working on the successful BA Filmmaking course. He is currently developing a TV crime drama series.
