Applications for the best script for a scripted or unscripted TV project, a contest organized by NEM Zagreb, have started. NEM Zagreb will be held for the very first time at the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, 11th – 13th December 2019.
CONTEST FOR BEST SCRIPT
Anyone who has an idea for a series, reality show, game show, documentary or another type of television format can apply. Whether you’re an experienced screenwriter or a creative individual, this is your ideal opportunity to present your work to the biggest Hollywood and European production studios.
NEM Zagreb, whose main goal is to bring together all the creatives in the TV industry and the world’s biggest production companies, has opened a contest for the best script for a scripted TV format (drama, thriller, crime, fantasy, SF, comedy) or unscripted TV format (game show, factual reality, reality, docuseries). An independent jury, as well as the production companies which will sponsor the contest, will vote for the best TV project and will pick the ten best screenwriters in both categories, who will meet with leaders from companies such as BBC Studios, ITV Studios, Sony Pictures Television, CBS Studios International and Warner Bros. at NEM Zagreb.
The three best scripts from both categories will be presented to all the participants in the largest hall of NEM Zagreb and the author of the best script in each category will win a prize of €5000, which will help him to develop the TV project

You can apply on the official NEM Zagreb website, where you can buy a Creative Badge Zagreb at an early-bird price of €100, which will enable you to enter your TV project into the contest.

THE FIRST NEM ZAGREB
New Europe Market has been held in Dubrovnik for the last seven years. Every year several hundreds of the biggest TV professionals from all over the world and this region attend the event, which includes panels, screenings and various networking events in the four days that it takes place. As opposed to NEM Dubrovnik, which brings together all segments of the TV industry, NEM Zagreb is focused on the creative side of the TV business and its main purpose is the globalization of local content. In the three days of NEM Zagreb you will have the opportunity to meet key players, sharpen your screenwriting tools and hear what some of the most famous TV show creators have to say.
