Božidar Domagoj Burić

Composer, Writer and Director of "The Age of Uskoks"

Božidar Domagoj Burić was born on 24.11.1972, in Zagreb, Croatia. Attended elementary and high school in Dubrovnik. Graduated at University of Zagreb with the title of professor of history and archaelogy. Currently on PhD studies in medieval history at University of Zagreb.
Started working on Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) in 1995. From 2002. to 2007. He was editor-in-chief of Program for Culture, Science and Education of Croatian Television and Program Head Manager (2007-2010; 2016-2017). He was one of founders and a member of the first committee of Children Eurosong (2002-2004).

Author (writer, director and music composer) of history feature-documentary series’ “Mysterious Middle Ages” (2001), “Insane Roman Emperors” (2005), “Croatian Kings” (2011), “The Republic” (2016) and “The Age of Uskoks” (2019). Active multi-instrumental musician and member of Croatian Composers Society.

Winner of Annual Award of HRT, Croatian Historians Society’s Award “Vjekoslav Klaić” for outstanding contribution in promoting historical science and Young Cinephiles Award for Best Croatian Series at Pula Film Festival. His series”Croatian Kings” and “The Republic” are best selling products of HRT abroad, having been broadcasted in more than 40 countries worldwide.
