Synopsis: A year after the night that changed their lives forever, our heroes live apart from one another. The case of the abused minors has been officially closed. The culprit was killed resisting arrest and the investigation has been stopped.

Because of the war in Ukraine, Olga is forced to live in a sham marriage with Ivan Horvatić, who has become the Minister of the Interior, and is completely devoted to organising aid for refugees and civilians in Ukraine. Stribor Kralj has left daily journalism and is enjoying parenting. Vesna Horak has been promoted, she is now the chief detective in the station, but she only wants to find the person who shot Inspector Vladimir.
