Kerrie McEvoy is the Head of Factual Channels for Discovery Networks in EMEA at Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). They lead a team of planning and editorial managers based in five different countries who are responsible for the programming strategy for Discovery, Science Channel and Animal Planet in EMEA – which have a combined monthly reach of well over 45million viewers. With over 23 years in the Media and Entertainment industry, they have navigated a diverse range of roles, including content sales, acquisitions, executive production, channel management, and leadership.
Upon moving to London in 2001 they embarked on their television career at The Walt Disney Company as a Sales Development Coordinator and moved on upwards from there. Originally hailing from Ireland, they moved to the UK at 16 to pursue their studies, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Music Technology from a UK university at the age of 19 and followed that with a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School in London.
