Having started his career as an assistant producer in 2008 in the News and Sports Department at TRT, Faruk has produced over 100 episodes of news/sport/economy and documentary programs. He got his first master’s degree in Business and Finance in Turkey, while his second one was obtained in Los Angeles, where he also directed and produced several short movies. Faruk is also a graduate of the New York Film Academy and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking.
From 2014, he has been working for the TRT Television Department as an Executive Producer, and has completed more than 10 TV movies, miniseries and films in this role.
Between 2017-2020 he worked as the Coproduction Manager at TRT and he now continues his career as the Head of TRT
Cinema and Coproductions. He launched the Turkiye’s biggest script development and coproduction market,”12 punto” in 2019.
For three years, he had served as a juror in the TV Movies/Mini Series category for International Emmy Awards, Rose D’or Awards and many others. He is a member of the European Film Academy and served as a member of the EBU TV Committee for 4 years.
