Ognjen Sviličić was born in 1971 in Split, Yugoslavia, now living in Berlin, Germany.

He has made six feature-length motion pictures. His film “Sorry For Kung Fu”  had premiere on 55 Berlinale, Forum section  and has won several international awards.  It was distributed in USA and France.

His film “Armin” also had premiere on Berlinale, Generation section, went on more than 100 international film festivals and won more than twenty awards and was distributed in cinemas in France and Germany.

His film “These are the Rules” had premiere in Venice film festival in Orrizonti section, and won the award for best actor.

He was also a scriptwriter for some internationally recognised movies like “Slovenian girl” or regional box office hits like “We will be the World Champions”.

His last film “The Voice” had premiere on Busan International Film Festival 2019. and it was bought for Amazon prime.

The film “Father”, for which he wrote the script together with the director Srdan Golubović, received the audience award of the Panorama program at the Berlinale 2020.

“Guardians of the Formula” for which he wrote the script together with director Dragan Bjelogrlić received the Variety Piazza Grande award at Locarno 2023 and audience award at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
