WARM-UP EVENT ANNOUNCED KEY TOPICS AND SPEAKERS

The video industry has undergone a powerful transformation in recent years, and it seems that this wave of change is far from slowing down. Focused on the CEE region, NEM Zagreb recognizes these trends and, on December 8 and 9, will be the place where the future of the industry is not only discussed but also shaped.

Ahead of the December edition, a warm-up event hosted the panel Agenda Reveal: Creativity, AI, Marketing, offering exclusive insight into the key highlights and hot topics of this year’s program. Under the moderation of Zoran Šprajc, fresh perspectives on the interconnection of creativity, artificial intelligence, and marketing in today’s and tomorrow’s video industry were shared by:

Where Creativity, AI, and Marketing Shape the Future of Video Industry

This year, experts from the video, AI, and marketing industries will also join in, as NEM Zagreb has announced a new direction, transforming into a fusion of creativity, AI technology, and marketing. This is reflected in the fresh new agenda, which promises a lineup of relevant and topical issues awaiting attendees on 8th and 9th of December.

 

Mix of traditional and new-generation topics

NEM Zagreb will once again bring together leading industry voices for a series of thought-provoking panels exploring the most relevant topics in today’s content landscape. From regional producers reflecting on the past five years of change to leaders examining the impact of artificial intelligence, the discussions will cover everything from advertising transformation and vertical storytelling to format adaptations and the global challenges facing creatives worldwide. Each panel offers a unique perspective on how the TV and video industries continue to evolve, and where they’re headed next.

Inspiring video creators with Creativity, AI, and Marketing

The interplay of creativity, artificial intelligence, and marketing lies at the heart of this year’s edition, with the program exploring these themes through masterclasses, presentations, and Q&A sessions. Sami Arpa, Founder and CEO at Largo.ai, will lead a masterclass titled AI as the New Creative Partner in Video Creation. This masterclass demonstrates how AI can enhance creativity across the entire content creation process, from development to distribution, using tools such as text-to-video, simulated focus groups, and predictive audience insights. Dalibor Šumiga, expert in neuromarketing and consumer psychology, will offer an engaging perspective on how marketing shapes consumer awareness and behavior in his presentation titled Inception: The Art of Planting Ideas.

Through the Q&A session A Band for a Brand, Emmy, Golden Globe, and BAFTA winner John Altman will share his extensive experience of composing music for over 4,000 commercials for some of the world’s most renowned brands. While Altman explores the world of music for brands, Kenton Allen, CEO of Big Talk Studios, dives into the equally intricate world of producing the Emmy-nominated show Ludwig, in the Q&A session Ludwig: The Puzzling World of Producing.

Continuing the focus on compelling storytelling, NEM Zagreb will host an exclusive Q&A with Dariusz Jablonski on GLINA: A New Chapter. The Return of a Legend in a New Era., where he will discuss the return of GLINA, the legendary crime series, now back with a powerful new chapter produced in co-production with Apple Film Production, SkyShowtime, and TVP. A Q&A session with A1 International Business and UniqCast will also be held, with Darko Robič, CEO of UniqCast, and Elena Petrova, Head of Group Content at A1 International Business.

 

Presentations on Trends Shaping the Video industry

The lineup also includes sessions exploring the intersection of traditional television and digital video platforms, such as presentations From Broadcast to Algorithm: Why Every TV Station Needs a YouTube Strategy by Aleksandar Ašković, YouTube SEO and Strategy Expert, and Distribution Strategies when TV meets YouTube presented by Guy Bisson, Executive Director & Co-Founder of Ampere Analysis. Aleksandar Ašković will demonstrate how smart YouTube SEO and storytelling helped broadcasters like Sport Klub and EuroLeague win the battle for audience attention. Guy Bisson will present how, in an increasingly challenging market, broadcasters and content owners are turning to YouTube for incremental audience reach, though with vastly different economic outcomes. As discussions move from digital distribution to technological innovation, the focus shifts to artificial intelligence and its impact on the industry.

The presentation Revolutionizing Streaming: AI & New Monetization Innovations by Harmonics will explore how AI-driven innovations are reshaping the industry, enabling broadcasters, sport leagues, and content creators to enhance viewer engagement and unlock new revenue opportunities. The presentation Europe’s Creative Sovereignty in the Age of AI by EIT will explore how EIT Culture & Creativity is building sovereign digital infrastructures and ethical AI ecosystems to empower creators, scale innovation, and ensure Europe owns the rails of its creative future. From innovation to insight, the presentation Slick & Quick: How CEE Countries Differ on Netflix? by Lühr-Martin Lemkau, Founder of Slick Strategy, delves into how audiences across the CEE region engage with the platform. NEM Zagreb continues to be a key platform for showcasing local talent, giving Croatian creators a stage to shine internationally.

Presentations Croatian Creativity with International Potential by HDNP and SPID and Future Projects from Croatia by HDNP will highlight exceptional creativity, celebrating current achievements and the exciting future of local storytelling. Following the showcase of outstanding local stories, NEM Zagreb will feature stYpe, a company specializing in virtual production solutions including camera, object, and talent tracking, and the winner of the Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Award. From their team, Josip Čajić, Solution Architect at stYpe, will present the topic Real-Time Virtual Production by stYpe.

 

Christmas Party and Networking Opportunities

A Welcome Drink by A1 International Business, along with the morning coffee break, will provide the perfect setting for attendees to connect and network on the first day of NEM Zagreb 2025. On the second day, participants will enjoy a lunch sponsored by HAVC, and the event will conclude with the traditional Christmas party, this year sponsored by Pickbox – a festive celebration of another successful year.
