Synopsis: The second season of “The Beach” is set in Crete in 1975, at a time when Greece is slowly leaving behind the darkness of the Dictatorship and Democracy is struggling to find its footing in the reconstructed Greek state. In the carved rocks of Matala, old and new characters coexist and search for their identity in a world that is changing rapidly. At the same time, a dark story from the period of the German Occupation comes to the surface, threatening once again to haunt the present. A story that everyone more or less knew, but very consciously chose to forget, and those who lived it and survived, sooner or later, will seek revenge.
The return of Pavlos to his ancestral land and his acquaintance with Ifigenia will bring to the surface a forbidden, but at the same time insane, love. Pavlos tries to take power into his own hands, while Ifigenia tries to maintain it. One cannot succeed without the other failing.
