ABOUT NEM AWARDS

Recognition is a key moment for every artist – external confirmation can be a game-changer and take a project to the next level. NEM Awards bring projects to life by presenting them to key industry leaders and key audiences. At last, this is what NEM Zagreb is all about – we want to connect talents with valuable opportunities, create a space for new collaborations and enhance the TV industry in Central and Eastern Europe.

The perfect candidates for NEM Awards are aspiring scriptwriters and content creators, industry-related students, producers, broadcasters, production companies, talents, and other TV industry professionals, coming from the CEE region, Europe, and the rest of the world.

PROJECT CAN BE SUBMITTED IN THREE KEY CATEGORIES:

1. Best Pre-development Project Award powered by HAVC is for screenwriters who have an idea for a TV script, regardless of their experience. Several TV formats are eligible for submission in subcategories:

• Scripted series
• Scripted feature-length film
• Documentary series/Feature-length film
• Entertainment format

The prizes include various networking options and workshops with market exchanges, worth up to 5.000€ for three international markets and festivals.

The deadline for the submission is October 10th, 11:59 p.m. (No longer accepting applications.)

2. The Council of Europe Series Co-production Development Award is intended to foster creative collaborations in series co-production and empower independent producers. The award forms part of the Pilot Programme for Series Co-productions, an initiative of the Council of Europe, home of Eurimages.

The main prize is 50.000€ non-reimbursable.

The deadline for the submission is October 17th, 11:59 p.m. (No longer accepting applications.)

3. Best Finished TV Series in the CEE Award will honor the best drama TV series in the CEE. It is a prestigious acknowledgment of excellence, celebrating fully realized and completed works in TV series originating from Central and Eastern Europe.

The prize contains various marketing and networking opportunities, including guided market exchange.

The deadline for the submission is October 24th, 11:59 p.m. (No longer accepting applications.)

Winners from each stage will be chosen by an independent jury of top-tier industry experts.
