Polish author, producer, screenwriter and creative leader based in Oslo. For almost 20 years, Marta Hopfer-Gilles has worked as a communication professional in the TV and entertainment industry in Poland, Norway, and other European markets. She studied culture, creative writing, and screenwriting and has published many articles and translations throughout the years. In 2021, she published her first book “Oslo – miasto, które oddycha” (Oslo – a city that breathes – Wielka Litera, Warsaw), produced and co-authored a true crime podcast “Krwawa Skandynawia” (Bloody Scandinavia) and its sequel, “Krwawa Francja” (Bloody France) – Empik Go 2022-24, and finalised a TV series script during an intensive international mentorship program The Writers Lab (thewriterslab.nyc). She’s been supported by Art Omi NY as a writer in residency 2024 and is dividing her time between working as a marketing exec, writing her debut novel and working on her stand-up comedy routines.
