Maria Chiara Duranti, founder of the media company Formatbiz (www.formatbiz.it), is an experienced TV journalist and producer with a career spanning Mediaset Italy, Telecinco, and Bloomberg Television. A member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, WAWA, and WiFT&M Italy, she actively promotes women’s roles in the TV industry.
As Head of Formatbiz and Formatbiz Communication, Duranti provides insights on TV trends and the formats market to leading Italian producers. With a strong background in scripted and unscripted formats, her expertise includes strategic management, international relations, marketing, business development, and event coordination.
She teaches International TV Markets at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano and has been a professional journalist since 1999. Recently has published the book: Scripted Formats: History, Genres, and the Market of Television Drama
