TV Show Host, Journalist, Writer and Actress

Iskra Angelova is a well-known Bulgarian TV show host, journalist, writer and actress. She is a Fulbright scholar. A cofounder of The Ayn Rand society in Bulgaria. She received a prize for outstanding contribution to Bulgarian journalism by the Union of Bulgarian Journalists in 2019. Iskra is a journalist (MA in Broadcast Journalism, Emerson, Boston, USA), actress (BA in acting from the National Theatre and Film Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria) and Bulgarian philologist (MA in Bulgarian Philology, Sofia University).
She has worked as a producer for the CBS TV morning show The Early Show in NYC, was creator, editor and host of several original TV formats in Bulgarian national media. She also acts in theatre and film.
Her talkshow Night Birds on the Bulgarian National Television was a great success – there she invited most significant and interesting public figures and artists, intellectuals, politicians, opinion-makers, directors and musicians, and the show became a brand with its intelligent, easy and sophisticated style.

Since she became a mother, Iskra created and filled with interviews with doctors and experts a Mamapedia website, devoted to moms. Now she is a top columnist for a well-known independent website Offnews.bg.
