Chief Executive Producer, Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT)

Damir Novinić has more than 20 years of combined experience in the field of attracting foreign investments and development of competitiveness at company, regional and national levels and in managing complex media companies.

His specialties and areas of practice include investment and export promotion, competitiveness enhancement, management of medium and large sized companies as well as expertise in marketing and corporate communications incorporated with business processes development and restructuring.

In 2012, Mr. Novinić was appointed by the Croatian Government as the Managing Director of the Agency for Investments and Competitiveness. Prior to this function, the last four years he had spent with the Croatian Radio Television (HRT), where he had held a few executive positions including the function of the Managing Director of the Croatian Television (HTV, 2011). He was also serving as the Head of Production for about 2 years. As a one of the founders and co-owner of the Jadran Invest Ltd. fund management company, Mr. Novinić was in charge of business operations, investments and expansions (2008). From October 2018 he is on position Chief Executive Producer of HRT.

From 2006 until 2008, as a Regional Manager, he was working for US consulting company Development Alternatives Inc. and was handling the implementation of the USAID funded projects aimed at increasing competitiveness. He was also a Member of the Board for marketing with Pastor Group, privately owned large fire safety and security company, and the Chairman of Pastor Engineering.

During his 12 years of working at the U.S. Embassy Croatia, out of which for almost six years he had worked for the USAID, he had contributed to the development of a series of projects. As a project leader of the USAID economic projects, he had designed and managed a portfolio of projects worth more than $ 50 million. He also served 4 years as a Foreign Commercial Service (FCS) employee in Zagreb (US Department of Commerce).
