Blanca Escoda Agustí

Scriptwriter and Script Consultant

Blanca is a scriptwriter and script consultant, she’s run scriptwriting Labs such as Creative Europe’s TV Series Lab in Hamburg, Screentelling with Miguel Machalski and a TV Series lab for Filmarket Hub. She also works as an external script reader for companies such as Filmax and Cineuropa and she runs her own script consultancy, Decoding Stories (www.DecodingStories.com). She also teaches script development for an MA at The Core. She’s been Jury in different European Film Festivals like The European Independent Film Festival, L’Alternativa, Terror Molins de Rei and Festival de Cinema de Girona, besides being a consultant in different Film Development Regional Agencies. She’s been a speaker for Film Festivals organised by the UE in Jamaica and Venezuela, as well as in the New York Independent Film Festival. She collaborated in the book Stand-Out Shorts (Russell Evans, Focal Press, 2001). She graduated with a First Class Honours from Contemporary Media Practice at University of Westminster (UK). She studied at the Script Factory with Lucy Scher and has attended several seminars, among them the acclaimed “Story” and “Genre” by Robert Mckee as well as Linda Seger’s workshop on Script Consulting. At the moment she’s co-writing a feature length script with the film director Laura Sisteró.
