Birkir Blær Ingólfsson is writer from Iceland. Known as the writer of TV series Thin Ice (mentioned above) and creator and writer of The Minister I & II. The Minister I received Eddan – Icelandic film and TV awards for the best scripted fiction in 2021, while Thin Ice was nominated for the same price the same year. The Minister I was nominated as the best scripted fiction project in 2020 during Venice TV Awards, and as best European fiction series at Prix Europa. Birkir acted as a script consultant for the upcoming series As Long as We Live which was nominated as the best script 2023 by the Nordic Film and TV fond. Birkir received the Icelandic Children’s Book Award in 2018 for his debut novel STORMSKER.
