András Kocsányi is a Hungarian director and screenwriter who graduated from both the SZFE and METU universities in 2020. His graduation film, in which he participated as co-writer, Fonica M-120, debuted in the Cannes FF Cinefondation 2021 edition. His directorial debut and METU graduation film Scruffy Co. (Kócos Bt.) debuted at several Hungarian festivals (such as Friss Hús Budapest ISFF) and won several awards. In his doctoral research he writes about film satires and the functioning of comedy in film. Sine Morbo, which is a deeply personal story and a black comedy about the bureaucracy of the health care system, will be his directorial debut feature. He usually laughs at tragedies and cries at comedies.
