Alessandro De Rita is graduated in screenwriting from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. After working as a story editor and creative producer for RTI Fiction on highly successful titles such as Distretto di Polizia and Elisa di Rivombrosa, he founded his own company, Run To Me Film, specializing in documentary and factual programs, with which he produced the four-part documentary series Ignoto 1 with BBC and SKY Italia on the murder of Yara Gambirasio, which was a huge success with audiences and critics alike. He then served as Executive Producer at Pepito Produzioni, where he oversaw the creative production of the film Favolacce, which won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay in Berlinale and five Nasto d’Argento. He then became Head of Documentaries at Fremantle Media Italia, producing the docu-series on Raffaella Carrà, Raffa, for Disney Plus, before taking on the role of Head of Development at Eagle Original Content, where he oversaw the creative production of two series for Rai Fiction and the film Stella Gemella for Rai Cinema.
