Vanda was appointed EVP, Viaplay Select & Content Distribution at Viaplay Group on 1 July 2023, and EVP, & Chief Commercial Officer, North America and Viaplay Select since 2022.
She is the principal architect of the fast-expanding Viaplay Select, a b2b content concept, which is already available in 30 markets since launching in April 2022, with the strategic goals of maximising the value of Viaplay’s original content and enabling partners to leverage Viaplay’s commissioning and acquisition activities for achieving premium exclusive and business efficient content offering for their own services in local markets. Additionally, Vanda leads the company’s global content distribution team, and Viaplay’s SVOD channels in the US and Canada.
Before that, she was SVP and Group Head of Acquisitions, Content Distribution & Partnerships, and led content buying and partnership efforts for over 65 free TV and PTV channels and VOD services in over 30 markets. Vanda joined the company in 2003 and has held roles including VP Pay TV, VoD and New Media, and Senior Lawyer, having had a key role in Viaplay’s launch and growth to a leading European streamer.
Born in Athens, Vanda holds a degree in law from the University of Athens, an LLM in Entertainment Law from the University of Westminster and a degree in piano from the Hellenic Conservatory of Music (Elliniko Odeio) and has also studied theatre in Athens and London.
Vanda has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2001 and a solicitor at the Supreme Court of England and Wales since 2003.
Vanda lives in London since 2001 and is a mother of three.
