Olena Lavrenyuk was born and raised in Lviv. She graduated with a degree from Lviv National Ivan Franko University in International Economic and at Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television.
Olena is actively involved in production and educational activities in Ukraine and abroad. She has initiated and produced the Kyiv workshops of Hollywood acting coach and LA drama school owner Ivana Chabbak.
Olena Lavrenyuk’s first TV project production was the series “Cardamom Coffee” – an adaptation of Natalia Gurnytska’s national bestseller “Coffee Melody in Cardamom Tone”. This is a 10-episode period drama that tells the passionate love story of a married Polish nobleman and a young Ukrainian girl.
In addition to producing, Olena acts in films and plays in theatrical productions. Elena’s filmography includes both feature films and television projects. In 2018 she starred in the film by celandic director Benedict Erlingsson “Mountain Woman: at War”, that was prized with the SACD Prize for Music, the Prix du Public Award and the only state prize at the Cannes Film Festival, the Grand Rail d’Or.
Olena’s great ambition and aspiration is to develop Ukrainian cinematographic art, experiment and innovate, search for new forms and implement these achievements in the production sphere, as well as support Ukrainian cinematography at a highly competitive level worldwide.
