Nicolas Eglau is the Managing Director EMEA, APAC & Global Distribution at Moonbug Entertainment. In this role Eglau oversees the global network of TV channels as well as all content distribution activities and operations.
Before joining Moonbug in 2019, Eglau was Executive Vice President International at the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, a position he held since 2017. In this capacity Eglau’s responsibilities included leading the company’s international business and its network expansion. Additionally, he was responsible for the European Media Alliance (EMA), a network of leading European media companies that ProSiebenSat.1 established in 2013, and business activities beyond the borders of Europe.
Prior to this, Eglau worked for A&E Networks in London. As COO EMEA and General Manager for Benelux, Nordics, CEE, Middle East & Africa, he oversaw the company’s international offices.
Eglau spent a significant part of his career at the RTL Group, starting as VP Central & Eastern Europe in Luxembourg, and ultimately in Amsterdam as a member of RTL’s Executive Board accounting for the pay-TV business and the company’s own Venture Fund.
Eglau is based in London and holds a degree in Business Studies from Mannheim Business School, Germany, and the Ecole de Commerce de Montpellier, France.
