Maria Valenzuela is a senior Media Executive with a proven track record on international co-production, content distribution, business development and strategy. Maria’s interest on constant learning made her joined MIT’s AI program and work part time as an independent professor at the IE University in Madrid.
In her previous roles, she served as founder and General Manager at Movistar Plus+ International. Prior to that, she ran the Sony Pictures Iberia office and held the position of Head of Global Video Strategy at Huawei Technology.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sinology and History from Cologne University and an executive MBA (PADE) from IESE. Fluent in Spanish, German, English, Portuguese, and Mandarin, Maria has lived in Malaga, Minesota, Cologne, Taipei, Tokyo, Tübingen and Munich and is able to adapt to varied working cultures.
