Deniz Şaşmaz Oflaz is a seasoned media executive overseeing Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming and linear TV businesses in Turkey. She leads BluTV, the company’s streaming platform – which will evolve into Max on the 15th of April – while also managing the operations of the linear channels TLC and DMAX. In her role, she spearheads local content development and production, programming strategy, and channel management, driving Warner Bros. Discovery’s growth and presence in the Turkish market.
Prior to her current position, Şaşmaz Oflaz served as CEO of BluTV from January 2023 to October 2024, having previously held key roles within the company, including Content and Commercial Director, Content Director, and Content Acquisition Consultant. Her expertise spans content strategy, acquisitions, and commercial growth in the streaming and television industries.
Şaşmaz Oflaz holds a dual degree in Performing Arts and Cinema from Paris Nanterre University and is an alumna of Pierre Loti French High School. She gained early experience in content distribution at Rfilm and later at Canal+ in France. Upon returning to Turkey, she held leadership roles in content acquisition and distribution at Rfilm, Medyavizyon, and MB, overseeing licensing for 20th Century Fox films and independent cinema.
