Tony Gunnarsson is a princpal analyst at Ovum, and his expertise area is premium online video streaming, covering everything from Netflix to iTunes. Responsible for Ovum’s global SVOD Service Provider forecasts, Tony is an authority on the international expansion of Netflix and Amazon and the increasingly mature international SVOD landscape.
Tony joined Ovum in 2014 as an analyst in the TV practice, and today he heads up Ovum’s global OTT Video research and forecasting, with a particular focus on Netflix and SVOD markets.
Prior to joining Ovum, Tony was a Senior Analyst at IHS Media (formerly Screen Digest) where he covered Home Entertainment, focusing on the transition from physical formats to OTT platforms, DVD, Blu-ray, and 3D video as well as emerging formats for home entertainment such as Ultraviolet.
