Mr. Stanislav Georgiev is the head of Telekom Austria Group’s international business unit for Broadcasting. He and his team steer the operations and growth of Telekom Austria’s teleport service, satellite and DTH business. Within the umbrella of a group-wide program led by Mr. Stanislav Georgiev, back in 2013 Telekom Austria launched a white-label platform for DTH utilizing capacity on Eutelsat 16A, as well as initiated the consolidation of its content and media strategy. Telekom Austria Group currently hosts DTH platforms in 4 CEE territories on its white-label “direct2home”. Telekom Austria also delivers satellite distribution and contribution services to more than 30 international TV channels.
Formerly Mr. Georgiev led the fix-mobile convergent business at M-Tel, Telekom Austria’s daughter company in Bulgaria. He also played a key role as IT and Core Network Director during the start-up phase of Vip mobile in the Serbian market. In parallel to his start-up project in Serbia, Mr. Georgiev held the role of Head of Group IT in the newly founded group management structures of Telekom Austria. Prior to taking management assignments within the Telekom Austria Group’s holding, Mr. Stanislav Georgiev worked as a Chief Enterprise Architect at M-Tel, and consultant at the World Bank.
Mr. Stanislav Georgiev has graduated from the Sofia University with an MSc in Mathematics and also holds a Master Degree in Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ, USA. From his public record, he has chaired the itSMF chapter in Bulgaria and has spoken at numerous events world-wide, such as Forbes and Informa conferences, Microsoft TechEd, HP Universe, itSMFI, TUCON, etc.
