Pete Smith is a CEO with a record of significant achievement in the international media business. He has a strong background in sales, marketing and acquisitions, is accomplished at creating and executing strategic goals, developing high performance international teams and delivering exceptional growth. He is a strategic thinker with an effective interpersonal style.

Pete was President of NBC Universal International between 2007 and 2011, where he reported to the CEO of NBC Universal, Jeff Zucker (NBC Universal International is a $4 billion business based in London with operations in 30 countries). Pete was responsible for film and TV distribution, TV production and Channels. He frequently presented strategic and financial issues to the Board and selected and represented all M&A transactions. Pete delivered 44% growth over three years and completed acquisitions in Japan, South East Asia and Eastern Europe. He also drove an increase in TV channels from 12 to 70 and established a $500 million Pay TV channels business. Production successes include Downton Abbey, Whitechapel and Law & Order UK (three of ITV’s top 5 dramas).

In 2014 Pete took up the role of Managing Director of Antenna International and is responsible for managing Antenna’s European broadcast network. The organization is focussed on quickly growing its media assets in Eastern Europe and is investing in broadcast and digital companies.

Earlier in his career (1996-1999), Pete served as VP Continental Europe and UK MD for Polygram Filmed Entertainment.

Pete is married with two young boys and has a passion for motorcycling, film and TV.
