Pavel Stanchev has been the CEO of the largest Hungarian TV group TV2 since 15 May.
He joined TV2 from the French broadcaster TF1, where he held different management positions, including CEO of TF1 Distribution.
Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Pavel graduated journalism in Paris in 1992.
In his 27-year career in media and television he served as CEO of BTV Media Group and Nova TV in Bulgaria, CEO of Antenna Group South-East Europe, as well as CEO of Planet TV Slovenia, PRVA Serbia, RTL Croatia, HBO and Kanal D in Romania. He began his career as manager business development at the largest Swiss media group, Ringier AG, in 1992.
TV2 was the most watched channel group in March 2019 in Hungary, achieving 23.7 audience share (AGB Nielsen, 18-49). It is comprised of 14 TV channels.
