He studied Economics and Journalism at the Catholic University of Leuven, and later graduated in European Law and Economics in Madrid. He started his career as deputy CEO of Bertelsmann’s Spanish Book Club Division in 1992. He started to work at the RTL Group in 1995, and took part in the launch of the RTL Klub in Hungary in 1997. He then worked as the CEO of the media group from 2001 to March 2015. He became CEO of TV2 Media Group on January 4th 2016. He sees himself as a true European – he was born in Belgium and has German and Spanish roots. His hobbies include television, football, and tennis.
