David Keane is Senior Director EMEA East within the Media Division at Akamai. He is responsible for leading a dedicated team, focused on making video and software applications accessible, and complex media content easy to use for media, gaming and software companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
David oversees company strategy and product direction to support customers with their over-the-top (OTT) video, live events, and streaming video optimization requirements along with support for gaming and software clients.
In addition, he works extensively with Akamai’s Network Deployment team to ensure Akamai has the necessary deployments in place in the region, to enable customers to deliver high quality video experiences at scale.
During his 16-year tenure at Akamai, David has undertaken strategic, commercial and operational engagements in technical, product, channel and sales leadership roles across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Prior to Akamai, David worked for EMAP in various IT leadership roles.
