Graduated with a degree in Film and TV directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb in 1990. During the 1980s worked as a journalist for PoIet and Start magazine. In 1987 a finalist in the competition for young European screenwriters organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Wrote and directed the TV film “Nježne prevare” (Delicate Frauds) for RTZ.
Co-founder, editor and head director of the experimental semi-private TV channel Z3 which, within a year, won the top TV ratings. As a director, writer and producer he made a number of shows and programs for former TV Zagreb and HTV. He was a co-founder of the production company Plavi film, where he made one of the first Croatian independent productions “You and your video” for HTV. He was also a writer and director of music videos and commercials in Croatia and Slovenia.
He spent 15 years working in advertising. As a creative director and author won over 200 international awards at festivals in New York, London, Paris, Portoroz, including two Grand Prix of the international festival in Moscow and was a jury member at many national and international festivals. His commercials were shown on British TV programs Carrott’s Commercial Breakdown and Shots. Five of his campaigns are presented in the Louvre Museum of Advertising.
From 2009 to 2013 Vince held the position of CEO of Ujedinjene produkcije (United productions), where he created and supervised the production of several TV formats. In September 2013 he founded Ring Productions. He is the creator, co-writer, showrunner and producer of the drama series “Rest in Peace”, a format based on the original idea of Koraljka Mestrovic and Goran Rukavina, which got numerous awards, brilliant reviews and was accepted in the official competition of Int. Drama Festival in Seoul and Series Mania in Paris. “R.I.P.” is the first Croatian TV drama series acquired by a West European TV as a ready-made (Belgium VRT) and optioned as a format by the American production giant Lionsgate. In 2017 “R.I.P.” achieved ready-made distribution for UK and USA via the Channel Four VOD platform “Walter Presents”. The third season of “R.I.P” is currently in preproduction.
Vince presides over the Croatian Association of Independent Producers (HDNP). He is an occasional lecturer at the Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb.
